Police have arrested a 42-year-old woman in connection with the theft of a laptop and personal items from the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain.

The incident was reported around 3p.m. on Thursday after a woman said she left her silver Apple MacBook Air, valued at $12,000, along with a purse containing bank and identification cards, in the hotel lobby while conducting a site visit.

When she returned a short time later, both the laptop and purse were missing. She told police she had not given anyone permission to remove the items.
