The North Central Regional Health Authority has announced that urgent electrical upgrade works will take place at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex from Friday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m.
The works will involve one of the two major transformers on the hospital’s electrical grid. The authority said the upgrade is part of measures to improve the reliability of the electrical system.
As a result, several services at the Complex will be postponed during the period. These include outpatient clinics scheduled for Friday, elective surgeries scheduled for the same day, and radiology appointments including CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and X-rays across all three days.
