The Min­istry of Health has an­nounced that the in­de­pen­dent ex­pert pan­el con­vened to re­view the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the pass­ing of six-year-old Jash­er Fran­cois has sub­mit­ted its re­port.

Ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry, while the pan­el has pre­sent­ed its find­ings, a state­ment from the par­ents of Jash­er Fran­cois was not re­ceived dur­ing the ex­ten­sion pe­ri­od that had been grant­ed to them.

The Of­fice of the Chief Med­ical Of­fi­cer has since con­tact­ed Jash­er’s par­ents to ob­tain their per­spec­tive. The Min­istry stat­ed that this step is nec­es­sary to en­sure the re­view re­flects fair­ness and in­cludes the views of all par­ties in­volved.
