The MinÂistry of Health has conÂfirmed the apÂpointÂment of a ComÂmitÂtee to inÂvesÂtiÂgate the cirÂcumÂstances surÂroundÂing the death of six-year-old JashÂer FranÂcois at the San FerÂnanÂdo TeachÂing HosÂpiÂtal.
FolÂlowÂing JashÂer’s death, Prime MinÂisÂter KamÂla PerÂsad-BissesÂsar SC had inÂstructÂed the MinÂisÂter and the MinÂisÂter to probe the cirÂcumÂstances that led to the child losÂing his life.
In a stateÂment, the MinÂistry conÂfirmed that the comÂmitÂtee comÂprisÂes four exÂperts in the arÂeas of PaeÂdiÂatrics, PaeÂdiÂatric InÂtenÂsive Care, NursÂing, QualÂiÂty AsÂsurÂance and Law.
