Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar has promised to immediately bring back her flagship laptop programme post the April 28 general election if she wins.
The former prime minister made the announcement whilst attending Hanuman Jayanti celebrations at the Jeevan Sudhan Ashram in Penal on Saturday.
Persad-Bissessar said she was carded to speak at the United National Congress (UNC) public meeting at the Rio Claro East Secondary School in Mayaro that night but “felt it was more important to seek the blessings and the guidance with you here in my own constituency”.
