More Caribbean students conquered CSEC mathematics this year, with the regional pass rate climbing four percentage points, while English maintained its strong performance.
Data released by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) today show that 42 per cent of students passed mathematics in the May/June 2026 examinations, up from last year's 38 per cent.
While the improvement remains modest, CXC Director of Operations Dr Nicole Manning said the increase should still be welcomed.
