What started as a relaxing evening on a beach in La Brea quickly turned into a nightmare for a man and his friend after they were robbed.
Police said the victims, a 33-year-old warehouse attendant and his friend, a 28-year-old Marabella woman, were hanging out near the shoreline at Vessigny Beach on Wednesday when two men approached them.
The unarmed assailants ordered the victims to keep their heads down. They robbed the man of a Google Pixel phone, $40, his ATM card, car keys, and a $35,000 blue Nissan Almera, which was parked in the carpark. The woman was robbed of a black Apple iPhone.
