AFTER practising medicine in Trinidad and Tobago for over 20 years, an India-born doctor said he was traumatised and may consider leaving after three bandits robbed his shared San Juan practice of thousands in cash and jewelry on Wednesday.
Dr Meera Sharief Sheik, part-owner of the Life Care Medical and Dental Centre at the corner of El Socorro Road and Backchain Street, San Juan, spoke to the Express yesterday afternoon just after being interviewed by Barataria CID detectives.
“I love this country as it has given me so much respect and love and my living because in the last 20 years my daughter, my son and my wife have been able to thrive here,” he said.
