A prison of­fi­cer and a food ven­dor at the Port-of-Spain Hos­pi­tal were among 12 peo­ple ar­rest­ed and charged for of­fences com­mit­ted with­in the state’s prison.

On Fri­day, No­vem­ber 14, 2025, Ter­ry-Ann De Leon was ar­rest­ed for al­low­ing pro­hib­it­ed ar­ti­cles to be in­tro­duced in­to the Port-of-Spain Prison. She ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Mo­hammed at the High Court, plead­ed not guilty, and was grant­ed her own bail.

On Fri­day, No­vem­ber 21, 2025, se­nior po­lice and prison of­fi­cers con­duct­ed search­es at the Ex­tend­ed Re­mand Fa­cil­i­ty (ERF) in Gold­en Grove and the Max­i­mum Se­cu­ri­ty Prison (MSP) in Arou­ca.
