A Couva CID police constable fell victim to car thieves after her car was stolen from her New Grant residence and later found stripped in a remote agricultural road off Sister’s Road, Tableland.
The officer secured her vehicle around 5 p.m. on March 22 and discovered it missing at 6a.m. the following day. She tracked the vehicle’s GPS, leading officers from Tableland Police Station to the location, where they found the car completely scrapped.
Also found were two TTPS bulletproof vests, a utility belt, and a regulation hat belonging to the officer.
