Trinidad and Tobago has reserved its position during a recent Caricom meeting in which the security build up in the Caribbean was discussed.
The meeting was held as the US continues to bolster its military presence in Caribbean waters, as part of what it claims is an attempt to combat the flow of drugs throughout the region, and to the United States.
Approximately 10,000 US troops are estimated to be deployed in the Caribbean, alongside eight warships and other naval resources.
