THE official commercial sailing of the Blue Wave Harmony commenced yesterday and for the first time, about 43 truckers were accommodated on the vessel that left the Port of Spain port around 2.15 p.m.
Chairman of the Tobago arm of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce Curtis Williams told the Express yesterday the sailing signalled a new day for the transportation of cargo to and from Tobago.
“I am here presently at one of my distributors and he looks pretty much stocked, so I believe that now this week he will probably put the extra goods in to bring his capacity up to where he was before the fall-out of the sailing,” he said.
