Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has expressed concern about a US$500 million (TT$3.37 billion) loan taken under the former People’s National Movement (PNM) administration which the Auditor General red-flagged in her latest report.
The Prime Minister, in response to questions from the Express yesterday, said she instructed that a report be provided to her on the matter.
The Express understands that Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John, who is the line Minister for the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT), is tasked with obtaining details on the loan.
