A 39-year-old forklift operator died in a workplace accident on Saturday evening at the Associated Brands Limited warehouse located at Bhagoutie Trace, San Juan.

The deceased has been identified as Lionel Reis, of Chrichlow Trace, Morvant. He had been employed with the company for the past four years.

According to police reports, around 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, officers PC Wells and PC Ramdoolar of the Barataria Police Station responded to a report from Joseph Surughlal, Senior Safety Officer at the company, regarding an accidental death at the warehouse.
