An autopsy has confirmed that Barrackpore resident Merril Sabessar was beaten and strangled, but investigators say they have not yet identified a suspect in her killing.
Police said no one has been detained in connection with the 65-year-old woman’s death, and her missing Nissan Tiida sedan has not been recovered.
Post-mortem results from the Forensic Science Centre revealed that Sabessar died from multiple blunt force injuries and manual strangulation.
