AFC hails Corbin’s role in opposition unity

(Kaieteur News) – The Alliance For Change (AFC) has paid tribute to former PNCR Leader and Opposition Leader, Robert Corbin, describing him as an astute politician, formidable strategist and a key figure in Guyana’s political development.

In a statement issued yesterday following Corbin’s passing, the AFC said his political contribution spanned decades and extended beyond the offices, which he held as party leader, minister, parliamentarian and attorney-at-law.

The party singled out Corbin’s contribution to political cooperation and opposition unity, crediting his strategic vision and willingness to undertake the difficult task of bringing political forces together.
