(Kaieteur News) – Ambassador Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett has continued her international outreach campaign for the position of United Nations (UN) secretary-general on Monday, presenting her candidature to the President of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Boakai Snr.
Ambassador Rodrigues-Birkett also engaged Liberia’s Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, along with vice and assistant ministers, where she outlined her vision for a more agile, efficient and effective United Nations.
The discussions also focused on strengthening multilateralism, the United Nations’ role in addressing global challenges, and the ongoing UN80 reform deliberations.
