Guyana’s candidate for the post of United Nations Secretary General (UNSG), Ambassador Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, has continued her international engagement, calling for greater youth participation in shaping global policies during a high-level forum in the Republic of Korea.
Rodrigues-Birkett participated in a dialogue with fellow candidates for the UN’s top post at the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, where discussions focused on the theme, “Reimagining Multilateralism.”
Addressing the forum, the Guyanese diplomat underscored the need to involve young people in the work of the UN, particularly in developing policies on emerging global issues such as artificial intelligence (AI) governance.
