FORMER People's National Movement (PNM) minister Randall Mitchell has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request on behalf of his client, activist Wendell Eversley, seeking information on the role, qualifications and compensation of former trade unionist Watson Duke in his new job at the State-owned National Gas Company (NGC).
In a response to the Express yesterday, NGC confirmed reports that Duke, the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) leader, had been employed as a human resource consultant, particularly to develop human resources in Tobago.
'Mr Duke brings a wealth of experience to NGC. He possesses a unique knowledge base and a valuable vantage point of our sister isle, particularly regarding the opportunities to develop the human resources of Tobago, as the Company seeks to expand its operations, especially in relation to the assets of NGC at the Cove Eco-Industrial Estate.
