THE TTPS has declared the Operation Trident anti-crime initiative undertaken over the weekend, as a sucess, resulting in several arrests, seizure of marijuana and the seizure of a firearm. The operation took palce across Southern Division on Saturday and Sunday.
Around 7.50 pm on Saturday, officers of the division's Operations Unit intercepted a black Nissan AD Wagon along the Southern Main Road in La Romain after receiving intel. A search led to the discovery of a rectangular package containing approximately 1.2 kilograms of compressed cannabis.
Three occupants were arrested and are expected to be charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
