(Kaieteur News) – The Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday announced that Kwakwani will be receiving an 800kVA generator to ensure that electricity is available 24 hours to residents.
In a statement on its Facebook page, it said that the new addition is expected to become operational by the middle of the week, will increase the capacity to 3.1MVA.
Prime Minister Ret’d Brigadier, Mark Phillips while giving remarks at the Cabinet Outreach in Region 10, said the intervention is intended to further strengthen the reliability of electricity supply in the community, where demand has recently increased.
