The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has warned that “firm and decisive action” will be taken against anyone who breaches newly proclaimed fireworks legislation now in force.
In a media release issued today, the TTPS confirmed the proclamation of the Summary Offences (Amendment) Act No. 13 of 2025 and the Summary Offences (Fireworks) Regulations 2025, Legal Notice 466, and advised the public that the legislation is operational.
“The rules have changed—our responsibility must change too,” the TTPS said as it urged citizens to refrain from the improper, unlawful or unsafe use of fireworks.
