The ASÂJA EdÂuÂcaÂtion Board says that the MinÂistry of EdÂuÂcaÂtion has comÂpletÂed an inÂvesÂtiÂgaÂtion inÂto alÂleÂgaÂtions of bulÂlyÂing at ASÂJA Girls’ ColÂlege, San FerÂnanÂdo, and found no evÂiÂdence to supÂport the claims.
In NoÂvemÂber 2024, Guardian MeÂdia highÂlightÂed a parÂent’s acÂcuÂsaÂtions that her daughÂter was bulÂlied by classÂmates and misÂtreatÂed by staff afÂter voicÂing cerÂtain conÂcerns. The reÂports alÂleged that school ofÂfiÂcials shieldÂed the acÂcused bulÂly beÂcause their parÂent was a teacher at the school.
ASÂJA EdÂuÂcaÂtion Board chairÂman RahiÂmool HoÂsein said an inÂdeÂpenÂdent inÂvesÂtiÂgaÂtion led by the Schools SuÂperÂviÂsor III of the VicÂtoÂria EdÂuÂcaÂtion DisÂtrict, along with an inÂterÂnal reÂview by the school’s adÂminÂisÂtraÂtion, reÂsultÂed in the MinÂistry of EdÂuÂcaÂtion isÂsuÂing corÂreÂsponÂdence on FebÂruÂary 3, conÂfirmÂing that the alÂleÂgaÂtions were unÂsubÂstanÂtiÂatÂed.
