A 65-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of 35 grams of cannabis and 4 grams of cocaine on Monday at High Wine Crack, Port Kaituma, North West District (NWD), Region One (Barima-Waini).
Police stated that an intelligence operation led ranks to a premises where the 65-year-old businessman was contacted, and a subsequent search of the property revealed a bag in a bedroom containing two transparent plastic bags.
Police stated that one of the plastic bags contained a quantity of cannabis, while the other contained a whitish, rock-like substance suspected to be cocaine.
