A TRIP home from her Port of Spain job ended in tragedy for a Siparia woman who died after the car she was driving crashed through the steel guard rails of a narrow bridge in Debe and plunged into a river below on the night of July 28.
HADCO store manager Kalisa Danclair, 29, was driving her silver Toyota Axio over the bridge near Rahamut Trace along Bunsee Debe Trace around 9 pm when she crashed into the steel barricade and the car going into the Oropouche River. This is a route her grieving relatives said Danclair typically took on her way home.
Moments after the crash, nearby residents, members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team and the Fire Services all tried to save Danclair.
