POLICE Commissioner Allister Guevarro yesterday issued a warning to parents to pay closer attention to their children after officers reported a troubling rise in teenagers being brought to police stations unconscious after allegedly mixing alcohol with drugs during Carnival festivities.
Speaking to reporters on Duke Street about Carnival policing operations, Guevarro said while there had been no further reports of Carnival-related violence, law enforcement officers have had to respond to numerous cases of young people engaging in dangerous substance abuse.
“Be mindful of your teenage children,” the Commissioner urged.
