PRIME MINISTER Kamla Persad- Bissessar yesterday stood firm on her Government's support of the United States' kinetic strikes on what the country said were illegal drug boats in the Caribbean, as she argued that fatalities from these incidents were not considered murders.

Caricom leaders were questioned on the issue during the closing news conference following the conclusion of the 51st Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of Caricom, in St Lucia.

A journalist asked about the US strikes on boats in the Caribbean which purportedly killed nationals from St Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.
