TWO men were arrested this week in separate incidents after allegedly presenting altered documents during in-person interviews under the 2026 Migrant Registration Framework (MRF) at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
Police said the arrests were made during processing at the venue, where Immigration officials are conducting face-to-face verification of applicants.
In the first incident, on Monday around 3 p.m., Immigration officials reported that a 54-year-old man presented three passports and a birth certificate during processing. Officers said his year of birth, listed as 1971, appeared altered, with the final digit changed to resemble an “8”.
