Police in Tobago have arrested a suspect in connection with a house breaking and larceny at the home of a 76-year-old pensioner in Canaan.
According to police reports, the victim of Golden Grove Road secured his apartment around 8 p.m. Wednesday and went to bed. At about 5:10 a.m. Thursday, he was awakened by noises and discovered a man inside his home after a window was forced open.
Alexander later discovered that two smart bulb cameras, snacks, and drinks worth about $650 were missing. The stolen items included a half bottle of mauby, beer, wine, and chocolate.
