The Barbados Football Association Division One title race has been thrown wide open after second-placed Parish Land stunned leaders Pro Shottas 2-0 on Wednesday, closing the gap at the top to just three points.
The crucial victory at Inch Marlow lifted Parish Land to 34 points, just behind Pro Shottas on 37. Significantly, Parish Land also hold a game in hand, giving them a golden opportunity to overtake the leaders as the battle for the championship and promotion to next season’s Premier League intensifies.
Club president Kemar Ward described the result as a critical win under exceptional circumstances.
