Six men have been arrested and charged following a major multi-agency operation that intercepted a vessel and seized 772.4 kilogrammes of cocaine in British Virgin Islands waters, police confirmed.
The operation, carried out between December 8 and 9, involved His Majesty’s Customs, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), and external partners including United States Customs and Border Protection and the CARICOM Joint Regional Command Centre. Authorities said the action followed intelligence indicating suspicious maritime activity in the area.
During the operation, officers intercepted the vessel and recovered the large quantity of cocaine. The six men arrested at the scene have since been formally charged.
