New fees for applications and approvals for citizenship, registration, and naturalisation in Trinidad and Tobago will take effect from January 1, 2026, following amendments to the Citizenship of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Regulations.
The regulations, which revoke and replace the Second Schedule, set fees ranging from $50 to $200 for applications, with additional approval charges between $400 and $1,800 depending on the category. Citizens of CARICOM and Commonwealth countries will pay lower fees in certain cases.
Under the revised schedule, the grant of a Certificate of Citizenship to a minor under Section 5 attracts an application fee of $100, with a further $500 payable if the application is approved.
