A 30-year-old Charlieville man is expected to appear before the South District Masters' Court after police concluded that a reported kidnapping, which prompted a major investigation by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, had been fabricated.
Daoud Mohammed, of Assaraf Road, Charlieville, Chaguanas, was arrested on June 4 and charged with Wasteful Employment of the Police following an investigation into the alleged kidnapping.
According to a press release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers conducted an operation between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. along Assaraf Road, where Mohammed was arrested pursuant to a warrant.
