A 72-year-old retired police officer was robbed at her Vistabella home on Friday afternoon by four masked intruders who made off with cash, cell phones, and several bottles of alcohol.
Around 2:12 p.m. the victim was in the kitchen of her Jarvis Street home when she heard a loud noise. She was then confronted by four men wearing masks, two of whom were described as slim-built and in their early to mid-20s.
The men announced a robbery and proceeded to steal two Samsung cell phones, $5,000 in cash, and six bottles of assorted alcohol of unknown value. A relative raised an alarm, after which the suspects fled in a white getaway vehicle.
