Former Speaker: No breach by my 2017 vote

FORMER Speaker of the House Bridgid Annisette- George has denied that she breached the Denison Principle with a vote she made in 2017.

She was responding to the claims after Senate President Wade Mark last week used his vote to break a 15-15 deadlock on the Special Operations Bill.

'What a STRETCH to state that the precedent for the breach of the Denison Principle by the Senate President on the Special Operations Bill was set in 2017 by the then Speaker of the House!' she wrote in a statement yesterday.
