A 37-year-old labourer was shot dead during an altercation with his brother at their mother’s home in Williamsville on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Stephen Vialva of Whiteland Road, Williamsville.

Police said around 3 p.m., Vialva was reportedly armed with a firearm and making threats to kill when a confrontation broke out with his 39-year-old brother.
