Doubles vendor Latisha Noreiga, owner of Shelly’s Doubles on the Brian Lara Promenade, Port of Spain, said she has resumed selling, but she was still awaiting word on the investigation launched by Port of Spain Mayor Chinua Alleyne.
The probe stemmed from an incident last week Wednesday during which Noreiga was taken to the police station and about $3,000 in goods were seized.
She was adamant she had paid $2,400 in rent to occupy the spot. She was released that same day and returned to her stall around 9 p.m.
