THE Estate Police Association (EPA) has called on the Government and Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath to urgently address security concerns at schools across the country, citing serious risks to students, teachers, and security personnel.
EPA president Deryck Richardson on Saturday highlighted recent incidents that underscore the need for immediate action. He referred specifically to an incident at Malick Secondary School where two estate police officers were tied up and robbed.
“There was a situation at the Malick Secondary School where the officers were tied up and robbed recently,” Richardson said. “We have a listing of similarly compromised school facilities which poses a threat to the students, teachers and security officers.”
