Trincity/Maloney MP Camille Robinson-Regis has disclosed that she had major surgery and there were complications.
“I am still recovering. The healing process and recovery are ongoing and I am taking the requisite time to recover completely,” she said via WhatsApp message to the Express on Tuesday.
She was responding to questions from the Express about her absence from public interaction over the last couple months. Robinson-Regis has not been attending PNM public meetings or General Council meetings and any political public functions. The last time she made any public comment was when she wrote a Facebook post on June 20, the day before the PNM internal elections, in which she expressed her sadness over the criticism being levelled at former political leader and prime minister Dr Keith Rowley by some senior members of the party.
