The Princes Town Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion (PTRC) says it will step in to cut and clean school premis­es across the re­gion ahead of the re­open­ing of the new school term, fol­low­ing the con­tin­ued ab­sence of URP and CEPEP work­ers.

In a me­dia re­lease, the Cor­po­ra­tion said Chair­man Gowrie Roop­nar­ine and coun­cil­lors agreed at the most re­cent Phys­i­cal In­fra­struc­ture Com­mit­tee meet­ing to pro­vide the sup­port. The ini­tia­tive will be car­ried out over the next two weeks to en­sure schools are ready to re­ceive stu­dents.

“The Cor­po­ra­tion has tak­en de­ci­sive ac­tion to en­sure the clean­li­ness and readi­ness of school premis­es across the re­gion,” the re­lease said.
