Amarjit Balkissoon was struck and killed as he attempted to cross the road on Wednesday night.
Eyewitnesses said that Balkissoon, 53 of La Brea, was trying to cross the Southern Main Road in South Oropouche around 10.18 p.m. on Wednesday when a white Nissan Serena struck him.
He died on the scene.
