Javelin gold medallist Keshorn Walcott will receive, as an acknowledgement of his achievement and pride of country, $500,000; an appointment as a national sports ambassador, and a diplomatic passport for his accomplishments at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
His colleague, silver medallist in the 400 metres Jereem Richards, will receive $250,000.
And Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 champions the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), who won the CPL finals in Guyana, will receive the Chaconia Medal (Gold) at the National Awards, Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s, today.
