The Trin­ba­go Uni­fied Ca­lyp­so­ni­ans’ Or­gan­i­sa­tion (TU­CO) will host the fi­nal of the Na­tion­al Se­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch Com­pe­ti­tion 2025 at Di­manche Gras on Sun­day, March 2, 2025, at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port of Spain, be­gin­ning at 7:00 p.m.

Twelve fi­nal­ists will com­pete for the pres­ti­gious Ca­lyp­so Monarch ti­tle, with reign­ing monarch Machel Mon­tano de­fend­ing his crown. The com­pe­ti­tion will show­case a di­verse range of ca­lyp­sos ad­dress­ing so­cial com­men­tary, cul­tur­al ex­pres­sion, and po­lit­i­cal dis­course.
