As we pull up to match 32 of the Caribbean Pre­mier League (CPL) group stage, the hors­es have bunched up nice­ly and have jammed them­selves in­to the fi­nal turn like an over­crowd­ed maxi taxi dur­ing peak-hour Fri­day traf­fic.

Out­side of the An­tigua & Bar­bu­da Fal­cons and the Guyana Ama­zon War­riors—who have al­ready parked their cars com­fort­ably in the play­off garage—five teams are cur­rent­ly wrestling in a chaot­ic, high-stakes pot of CPL callaloo for the re­main­ing two post­sea­son tick­ets.
