The Trinbago Knight Riders put on a strong display to defeat the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by 12 runs in their Caribbean Premier League opener at Warner Park.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Patriots restricted TKR to a formidable 231 for 5 in their 20 overs, powered by a breathtaking 120 off 57 balls from Colin Munro (14 fours, 6 sixes) and a fiery 47 off 27 from Alex Hales.
Chasing a daunting target, the Patriots limped to 219 for seven in their 20 overs, with Jason Holder top-scoring at 44 off 22, flanked by contributions from Kyle Mayers. Usman Tariq was the standout bowler for TKR, claiming 4 for 33 in 4 overs
