Licensing officers are expected to today inspect the music truck that crushed a reveller to death on Carnival Monday in San Fernando.
The incident claimed the life of 79-year-old Selwyn Little also known as “Shortman” of Mon Repos.
Little was holding the banner for D Jammerz International Military Mas in front of the truck on Coffee Street, but as they entered Cipero Street, the truck rolled over Little. He died on the spot. The truck eventually stopped a distance away and was impounded at the San Fernando Police Station. The 43-year-old driver of Friendship Village, San Fernando, was detained by the police, questioned and released later that day, police said.
