After stealing a bicycle, cash and jewellery in separate incidents around a Baxters Road bar over a three-week period, Kadeem Tristan Otay Dolcy walked into Central Police Station and confessed to the crimes.
The 34-year-old, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 12 monthsâ imprisonment after pleading guilty to stealing a bicycle valued at $200 belonging to Richard Skeete on June 17; a chain and pendant valued at $1 000 from Bradley Munroe on July 3; and $253 from Amisha Mahadeo on July 4.
Skeete rode his bicycle to a bar on Baxters Road around 11 p.m. and parked it under a streetlight unlocked, before entering the business, the court heard. He realised it was missing 20 minutes later. Passersby told him Dolcy had ridden off in the direction of New Orleans. Skeete reported the incident to the police.
