Teen awaits sentencing for robberies, theft

An 18-year-old Wildey man was remanded to Dodds Prison overnight pending sentencing after acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy raised serious concerns about the pattern of thefts, which were linked to Facebook Marketplace transactions.

“You have started off your adult life in the wrong way,” she told Robereico Ricardo Brathwaite of Block 4B, Rock Avenue, Wildey, as he stood in the dock of the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded guilty to robbing Jaheim Harewood of a chain, cash, a wallet and its contents, with a total value of $1 532, on August 17, and robbing Dujuan Clarke of a wallet, cash, five rings, a bangle, chain and pendant, all totalling $5 550, on September 11.
