Minister of the People, Social Development, and Family Services Vandana Mohit is calling for the immediate resignation of the board of management of the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (CATT).
She yesterday cited a $77 million financial liability at the agency.
During a news conference at the United National Congress (UNC) headquarters in Chaguanas, Mohit said the circumstances surrounding the Authority’s financial affairs and governance had raised questions about the stewardship of the institution responsible for safeguarding vulnerable children in the country.
