The restoration of African Emancipation Day celebrations at T&TEC was welcomed by Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Clyde Elder, who praised the company for reconnecting employees with their African heritage and cultural traditions. He also highlighted major developments within the organization, including the return of the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA)..

Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Clyde Elder, is commending  the board and management of T&TEC for reviving the company’s African Emancipation celebrations.

Speaking at the event which saw a lecture on African Emancipation, traditional African performances, and an African cuisine competition, he stressed that remembering and preserving African legacy and heritage is crucial.
